An innovative retrofit and addition project that entailed adding three floors within an existing industrial shed to house the new multi-level building for the growing needs of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The project entailed adding three new floors at different split levels to an existing basement plus ground storeyed structure to create a cutting edge design for the Mechanical Engineering department. The design retained the historic shell, roofs and northlights and adapted the height to create a contemporary building within the historic one.
