Ekvira Aai Temple, Karla Caves

Initiated by the State Government and antecedent by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (MSRDC), the scheme envisions for developing the 9 major temples of religious significance around Maharashtra and Ekvira Aai temple is one of them. Ekvira Aai temple is located within the Protected Area of the Karla Caves, a Centrally Protected Archaeology site (ASI). The report by ANLA offers a comprehensive understanding and assessment of the significance of the designated temple site, conservation of built heritage, improvisation of premises and facilities for pilgrimage, and to provide a conceptual framework through a sensitive design approach for the Historic Cave setting.
