Built in 1916, Mani Bhawan is famous as the house where Mahatma Gandhi lived between 1917 and 1934. The project involved structural strengthening of the roof and overhanging timber balconies, conservation of the exterior and interior spaces, up-gradation of toilets, plumbing and electrical services and restoration of historic interior finishes.
